Our aim is to provide all of our members with the opportunity to develop swimming skills, improve speed and fitness and take part in competitions.

We are SwimMark accredited in Teaching, Skill Development and Masters with a team of Swim England qualified coaches and teachers supporting swimmers from Learn to Swim to National standard.

We recognise that swimmers can have different aims within the sport and therefore look to create an environment that supports swimmers in achieving their goals whilst having fun and being part of a team.

Volunteers Needed

ADSC is a volunteer run club. If you have time to help at Galas, with the Club Championships, or as a committe member please contact us.

We are always looking for people to take part in Judge Qualification Courses that are run on a regular basis. Without these people galas and championships cannot take place.

Presentation Evening - now 31 January

21st January 2020
Due to a double booking at Rivets the Presentation Evening has had to be moved to Friday 31 January at the Grange School (6.30 pm to 10.45pm) but, as in previous years, it is now open to all. Further details are outlined in an email from Alison (sent out 21/1). As a result of the change the training at the Stadium that evening has been cancelled.

Training Changes 26/1

19th January 2020
Due to the County Championships being held at the Aqua Vale this Sunday (26/1) there will be no training at the Aqua Vale (3pm - 4.30pm). Training continues as normal at the Stadium.

County Championships 2020 - Day Two

18th January 2020
Day 2 of the County Championships kicked off with the 800m. Sophie Francis-Baker took 25 seconds off her PB to finish and Emily Curtis took 5 seconds off her PB to improve on their rankings to 40th and 53rd respectively and Jessica swam 10 seconds faster than her previous County best to put in another solid performance to finish 32nd. County Championships 2020 - Day one

11th January 2020
With 2020 only a few weeks old the first day of the County Championships is always a great kick start to the new year. First up was the 1500m. Lucy Thompson, in her first Counties, took over 5 seconds off her best time to finish 29th overall. Arthur Blake Memorial Trophy - retained

Well it was great to finish the year on a high with a superb victory in our home relay gala ahead of teams from Leighton Buzzard and Dunstable. Well done to all of our swimmers - we are all winners on the night regardless of whether you were blue, yellow or green! National Arena League - Round 3

15th December 2019
The third gala of this year's Arena League saw us battling relegation and everyone knew that every point mattered and it's fair to say that the swimmers did us proud! On the night we secured 8 first places, all from the girls' team: Charlotte - Open 200m IM, Millie - 15U 100m back, Elle - Open 100m breaststroke, Jess - 15U 100m breaststroke, as well as the 15U and Open .......more

Maxwell Open Meet

1st December 2019
In the last meet of the County Qualification period we had 30 swimmers looking to try and improve their seasons times and gain a county qualifying time in the process. Well done Noah and Sam who set their first qualifying times of the season. Overall 45 medals were won and 52 person best times set. Club Championships 2019 Day 2

Well the impressive swimming continued in our second day of the club championships with another 256 Personal Bests including more club records from Millie Brindle (age 13/14 50 back and 50 free) and Millie's time for the 50 back was also an all time club record. Club Championships Day 1

17th November 2019
Well done to everyone who competed in the Club Championships today, particularly those competing for the first time. Some were even completing 25m for the first time! There was some really great racing and overall there were 247 Personal Bests including 3 club records from Zac (boys 15/16 200IM) and Millie (girls 13/14 100 bk) which was also an all time record. Club Championships 2019

16th November 2019
Our Club Championships kick off this Sunday (17 November) at the Aqua vale in what is always the biggest event in the club's calendar. With 130 swimmers competing, over 1000 times will be recorded over the two days. Medals will be presented on the day and trophy winners will be invited to our awards night in the new year.
